Course Overview
Even the best idea can fall apart without the right collaboration. In MedTech, success depends on how well teams work together across functions, timelines, and disciplines. When everyone from Regulatory to Marketing understands each other’s goals, innovation happens faster, projects run smoother, and products reach patients sooner.
This module is the capstone of the MedTech Essentials Suite, and the beating heart of Mind Grove’s mission: helping teams stop competing and start collaborating. Learners will walk away with strategies to build trust, align priorities, and lead teams that work smarter together.
Through the immersive MediPump project adventure, learners experience the real-world challenges of leading a product through development, regulation, and launch.
Competencies Built in This Module
By the end of this module, you’ll be able to:
- Identify key stakeholders and their roles in medical device development projects.
- Evaluate the impact of different collaboration approaches on project outcomes.
- Apply best practices for effective cross-functional teamwork at every stage of development.
- Recognize how early, consistent collaboration improves timeline, cost, and quality.
- Demonstrate strategies for building productive relationships across departments.
This module shows what happens when collaboration is proactive… and what it costs when it’s reactive. You’ll walk away with practical strategies to reduce friction, prevent misalignment, and create smoother handoffs across the full product lifecycle.
You’ll see how decisions made between departments like Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Data Management, Reimbursement, and Marketing, can make or break success. By navigating branching scenarios and interactive decisions, you’ll learn how collaboration drives innovation, saves time, reduces cost, and improves outcomes.
Learning Experience
The cross-functional understanding and product lifecycle knowledge is consistent across MedTech. That’s what Mind Grove teaches.
Take the driver’s seat as the Lead Engineer on the MediPump project, making real collaboration decisions that shape the entire product lifecycle.
Through branching scenarios, interactive decision points, and reflection questions, you’ll experience the ripple effects of cross-functional choices (the good and the bad). You’ll get multiple “start over” opportunities to test strategies, learn fast, and build a repeatable approach you can bring back to your own work.
The module ends with a final reflection + action-planning exercise to help you apply what you’ve learned immediately.
Estimated Duration: 45–60 minutes (self-paced)
